What is Darkwire?
Darkwire is both the name of our site and the in-universe organization we enjoy writing about. The cyberpunk and dystopia is escapism here, meant to fuel writing as much as it can offer commentary or catharsis for the outside world. We are here to write because we enjoy exploring characters and setting of the future, because we enjoy collaborating with others on story and plot, and because we see the writers behind the characters as individuals with a unique voice to offer.
Our goal is to be a welcoming, respectful place to write in a group setting. This means we emphasize group stories and missions to advance the setting of our world, while still taking the time to breathe and appreciate the aspects that make it up. Darkwire’s cyberpunk journey has a destination somewhere, and we will write its story until that becomes clear.
