Character Rules

Character Rules

  1. Writers are welcome to create up to three (3) characters without limits. After that, each character should have in-character roleplay posts on each account before making more.
  • All character accounts need their Writer Name filled in, which can link to an optional account (with the same username).
  1. A character template is provided here, and you are encouraged to fill it out. Add or change information to adapt for your character.

  2. Character biographies are more proof of concept than application, there is no approval process. They are there to help you and your fellow writers interact with your character, so complete them with that in mind.

  3. All characters should be original to the universe and fit the setting.

  • Other fandoms/fictional characters can only inspire characters.
  • Characters should generally be some flavor of humanity, AI is limited in this setting (read more about this here)
  1. Played characters may not lead MegaCorps, city government, Darkwire, or the Union. These are NPCs, written by staff.
  • Your character may be a leader of subsidiaries and mid-level management/smaller units within those groups can be written by anyone.
  • Characters might own their own small business, be a wage slave, a contract worker, a union activist, a mohole criminal, a Darkwire shadowrunner, and more.
  1. No character is invincible or infallable, and they should all have both flaws and advantages.

  2. Character art (avatars, profile images, and signatures) should be remain tasteful. Images that are sexually explicit, or depict real world hate symbols and/or discriminatory rhetoric, will be removed.

  • A Face Directory is available for writers to track identifiable art and faces associated with specific characters.
